# Tailor

*A tailor is a maker of fitted garments, especially structured clothes such as suits and coats, cut and shaped to the individual.*

Tailoring shapes cloth, usually wool, with cutting, pressing and hidden canvases of [interfacing](https://teazle.art/glossary/interfacing.md). Bespoke tailors, famously on London’s Savile Row, draft a pattern for each client and fit the garment through several stages.
