Sari
A sari is a length of unstitched cloth, usually between about five and nine metres, draped around the body, worn in South Asia.
A sari is draped, not tailored: one end is pleated and tucked at the waist, the other, the pallu, falls over the shoulder. It is usually worn with a fitted blouse and a petticoat. There are many regional drapes and weaves, from Banarasi brocade to Kanjeevaram silk.
