Organza
Organza is a sheer, crisp plain-woven fabric made from tightly twisted filament yarns, traditionally silk.
Organza is a transparent fabric that, unlike chiffon, is stiff. Its fine, highly twisted yarns are woven in a plain weave, giving a wiry crispness that holds sculptural shapes and layers.
How is it used?
In couture for overlays, sleeves and structured skirts, and inside garments as an invisible support. Silk organza is also a dressmaker’s tool: it makes a stable, see-through interlining and a pressing cloth.
