Tassel

A tassel is an ornament made of a bundle of threads or cords bound together at one end and hanging loose at the other.

Tassels finish cords, cushions, curtains, caps and garments. Elaborate ones have a carved or wrapped head and skirts of twisted silk; they belong to the craft of passementerie.
