Fringe
A fringe is a decorative border of hanging threads or cords, either formed from the fabric’s own threads or made separately and sewn on.
A fringe can be the warp left loose at the end of a woven piece, knotted or twisted, or a separate trim from the passementerie maker. Fringe moves with the body, which made it the signature of 1920s dance dresses.
