Bodice
A bodice is the part of a dress above the waist, or a separate close-fitting upper garment.
The bodice covers the torso from shoulders to waist. In historical dress it was often a separate piece, boned or laced, worn with a skirt; in traditional European dress the laced bodice survives as part of national costume.
