Weft
Also: woof, filling
The weft is the set of threads passed crosswise over and under the warp to form a woven fabric.
The weft, also called the woof or filling, runs across the width of the cloth from one selvage to the other. Each pass is called a pick. In most cloths the weft and warp together make the structure; in tapestry and brocade, extra or discontinuous wefts make the pattern.
